This tshirt was purchased from t shirt hell. It was also my first shirt from that site.

Hey that's not the color i wanted

Friday morning was c1's orthodontic appointment to get the spacers. We were on our way to the new office which is in a brand new office park so even though it was across the street from my favorite Starbucks we got lost trying to find the right building. So we get there and man i though the other office was nice, but this one has a more adult presence with all the mahogany and plasma TVs. While we waited c1 played on the game bike Its a reclined exercise bike hooked up to a video game system and you have to pedal while you play. Very cool concept.

anyway c1 elected for me not to go with her for her xrays and spacers. she wasn't even in there long but she came out with the title line. her spacers were blue and she was not happy. she was hoping for hot pink but i was informed because this is the brand new open less then a month location they only had one color option. i was also informed the spacers just might fall out because they went in 'really easy'. I then drove up the street to her school and onto work. That afternoon i called her dad hoping maybe by telling him she got the spacers he'd change his original comment about not being able to pitch in because he couldn't make his rent in his brand new apartment. He says well I'll be able to give a few payments like i said last time. Last time? he then went on to say don't be surprised if you get a check in the mail from me with some fo the braces money. I swear if i do I'm scanning it and posting it as my computer background. IF its more then $20. first payment is due on the 7th.

This shirt was purchased from a kiosk in the mall. The tag says its from some Canadian line of shirts.

Called on account of rain

Well it damn well should have been. Last night we and C1 went to see the Bulls during the company outing. My job has a separate reserved section with free food and drink but it was raining before we got there (welcome change from the highest temp ever recorded of 105) When we arrived about 20 minutes after game time, it was a very light drizzle. We ate walked around the stadium, i talked to some coworkers and then around 8:30 she said lets hit the gift shop and go home. I found out today from some of the others that stuck around the game finally started a little after 9pm. I guess that means no trading in tickets for another trip.

In other news I'll be adding a new (possibly regular) post on Friday called shirt of the week. Since this blog is called jeans and a t-shirt and since my job has relaxed the dress code for the past 3 weeks due to the heat i have been basically living in my favorite clothes the whole time. So starting with this friday i will post a picture of one of the t-shirts i own and where i got it from.

Proud parent moment

I'm sitting at my desk trying to find a stamp. The more i think about it I'm almost positive all my stamps are in the car. Why the stamp?

I just got a letter in the mail telling me a have to sign a release. A story c1 wrote about visiting NYC is being puslished in an Anthology by these people. She wrote the story back in January and i never heard anything so i figured she didn't get selected. Boy was I surprised.

To infinity and beyond

Wednesday C1 and I sat in my bedroom and watched the shuttle launch. I had the tv on in the background while i answered emails so i called her in the room to sit with me and watch. The whole time we both watch the launch with excitement but i was slightly distracted. When i was in 3rd grade my mom let me stay home from school so we could watch the Challenger launch. We sat in my bedroom, me on the floor and my mom on the bed combing my hair, we gleefully counted downa nd watched it take off, and then i froze when Challenger exploded. I remember that day vividly and i remember my mom crying and hugging me.

After counting down to the launch with C1, I held her tight in my arms and secretly wished nothing would go wrong.

uh huh mommy's listening to you

So i really wasn't. I've been highly distractable the past few weeks for reasons inexplicable. I can't seem to focus i and starting to drive in big looping circles because i got distracted and missed my exit and my shopping tendencies are worse then normal. I think my ability to speak will be going next. but on a serious note i have no clue why everything is all jumbled. Maybe I'm over worked maybe its because of the dreams i've been having about my grandmother since her funeral during the small 3-4 hours a night of sleep i have been getting. sometimes its all a mystery. I wish i could buy a clue.
